A "New Springtime" for ImpactCenter
ImpactCenter and Augustine Institute join forces!
The Augustine Institute has formally invited ImpactCenter to merge our efforts with the Institute. This is a great opportunity for us to take the mission and vision of ImpactCenter to a whole new level. By the end of the summer, Jim will begin serving as the new Director of Outreach and Parish Resource Development for the Augustine Institute.
The future vision of the Augustine Institute is to offer more training and resources for parish-based ministry efforts, particularly around effective discipleship. This is a great mission fit with the goals and vision of ImpactCenter. The outreach of the Institute will be offered to Dioceses and parishes all over the country, and will help expand the ministry of ImpactCenter.
These are just some of what Jims new responsibilities will be:
• Serve as an adjunct professor for the Institute, with a particular focus on new course offerings on discipleship and youth ministry.
• Lead and develop a Youth Ministry concentration and lay minister certification program for the Augustine Institute.
• Serve as the Director of the Youth Discipleship Video Series and oversee the development of a new video series that will provide content programming for youth ministry programs at the parish level.
• Continue the work and ministry efforts of ImpactCenter by developing a new Outreach arm of the Augustine Institute, serving Dioceses and parishes with resources and training for youth ministry, as well as other fields of catechetical ministry.
• Assist in leadership with the College Student Summit and other Augustine Institute retreats.
In some ways, you could say that the Augustine Institute offers the opportunity to catapult the ministry of ImpactCenter. The reputation of the Augustine Institute, and the breadth of it's reach and impact in the Church today will allow us to continue growing and expanding the vision of ImpactCenter far beyond what was ever possible.
